Laura Harper

Laura (she/her) has been the Office Administrator at Kites Trust since early 2025. In her role, she helps ensure the organisation runs smoothly by supporting kaimahi, welcoming visitors, and assisting with day‑to‑day operations.

Originally from Te Wai Pounamu, Laura moved to Te Whanganui‑a‑Tara in 2023 and loves the diversity, creativity, and sense of community that thrives in Pōneke. She brings valuable lived experience alongside a strong professional background in the mental health and addictions sector. Her experience includes Community Mental Health Support Work, group facilitation, and counselling—skills that enable her to bring warmth, professionalism, and a person‑centred approach to her mahi.

Outside of the office, Laura enjoys swimming in the ocean, creating art, exploring spirituality, and listening to music.
