Opportunities with Kites Trust

This page brings together all opportunities to engage with Kites Trust. This includes employment, Board roles, strategic partnership, collaboration, and requests for advice aligned with our kaupapa.

Engaging with Kites Trust means entering a peer‑led organisation with clear expectations about how we work together. Culture, relationships, and accountability are central to all roles and forms of engagement. The way we show up matters.

Our way of working

Our way of working is shaped by our signed kawa. The kawa is not aspirational. It is a set of collective commitments that guide how we relate, make decisions, share power, and care for one another and Tāngata W hai Ora. These commitments apply to everyone who engages with Kites Trust, including kaimahi, Board members, partners, advisors, and collaborators. They are non‑negotiable practices that protect our people, our kaupapa, and the integrity of our peer‑led work

What this means for all opportunities

All opportunities with Kites Trust sit within a peer‑led framework. Peer Practice is a non‑negotiable expectation across every role and relationship.

Our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Kites Trust is committed to the active promotion of and adherence to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. This commitment is embedded in our Trust Deed and reflected in our ways of working, particularly through whānaungatanga, manaakitanga, and oritetanga.

We recognise Māori as tāngata whenua and affirm Te Tiriti o Waitangi as the founding document of Aotearoa New Zealand and a constant statement of partnership, tino rangatiratanga, and mana motuhake. We believe in the right for Māori to define their own priorities and seek to demonstrate cultural responsiveness through action.
